Dr Adebowale Adeyemo

Dr Adeyemo is currently the Deputy Director of the Center for Research on Genomics and Global Health (CRGGH) at the National Human Genome Research Institute. An expert in genetic epidemiology of complex diseases and genomics of populations of African ancestry, his current research portfolio includes genetic epidemiology studies of type 2 diabetes, obesity, hypertension, obesity and podoconiosis. Dr. Adeyemo has authored or co-authored over 150 papers in peer-reviewed journals. He has served on multiple national grant review panels and is an advisory board member for several projects. He is currently co-chair of the H3Africa Genome Analysis Working Group.
